Default advice on best inlet manifold for zetec turbo

As above im debating the best inlet for my zetec turbo.
Do i remember right that when tested a few months back in the magazine was it the Area Six inlet that gave the best results ?
Anybody have any better suggestions ? Thanks

The jenvey one might be an alternative if your feeling flush? and fully interchangable for different specs/characteristics ie different length runners, inlet trumpet lengths etc

Jenvey is better for big power/higher boost applications.

For lower power and value for money I'd look at a RS1800 inelt manifold; they flow more than a Rover item!

Crazycage/Gary does a good inlet too.

Ye you were reading fast ford, jenvey is good for very highly tuned engines, if you on a budget, or not after record breaking power levels, stick with the RS1800 inlet.

yeah a few people have mentioned the rs1800 one but as my car has developed over the years i was just thinking i need a proper good inlet to improve flow, driveability etc and im hoping to achive a low 12 at pod next year.
I am changing quite a few things since last year so am hoping for big changes in the cars performance and driveability.

Jenvey is around Ł1550 with everything including the throttle body and TPS but they are lovely pieces of kit. I use one too.

What power level are you aiming for?
remember, best peak flow/power doesn't necessarily mean good drivability, throttle response etc.
My advice, pick a power to aim for, then see what others are using for a similar spec and use. Our go for the Jenvey inlet and let someone who knows what they are doing set the runner lengths etc. up.

I'm running a standard focus Rs inlet. Nice and cheap to buy, does the job.

area six manifold is best upto 500 bhp and the cheapest in the price range , the jenvey kit is a great bit of kit but cost nearlytwice as much , and to be fair to ian at area six most of the conponents used on his inlets are jenvey anyway and the plenum is fabricated and is welded by one of the best welders ive seen

This is what you want. Light weight, twin plenum design complete with trumpets and a securely mounted billet fuel rail.

yes but is it as good as the area six or jenvey one?

jenvey i would say no way and until you have tested it on both a flow bench and a engine producing big bhp then i dont think its really fare on you or the other companies to compare them as they have collected all the data they will ever need to prove there components work.
you know we've had this debate over and over again and tbh your new inlet looks very nice and i hope it works as well as it looks but like i said above ian uses all new products in his inlets so you pay that little extra.
out of interest how much is the inlet in ricks picture?

Thanks for all the info guys i think the jenvey one is well above what i need. I like to think my car is around 300 bhp and am hoping to push upto 350 plus. I agree with zetaboostboy the fabrication work of the area 6 inlet is second to non stunning
