Was a good day, although it's been so cold I can't feel my hands anymore

Nice to see the metro tooting round the track and porkies 3door looks fooking quick

Middle fingers up at the Nazi bastid coont of a policeman that pulled us over on the way back cos the Trade Plates had fallen off the rear shelf into the boot

Shame they weren't so quick to a "crime scene" when my nan got knocked out by some skag head breaking into her flat

Well i know it will offend some but i think the day was shite , deffo not a show to go to unless you are on track.

The cars on show was poor, the concours was laughable , the spectating for the track was crap, and the food was a joke they fooked off at dinner time when it would have been at its busiest . All in all a crap day .

will not be going again..unless im on track

Because if you mean the quality was poor just remember a lot of us got up fucking early and travelled a long way to get there, clean our cars, some arranging baby sitters etc just to try and make the most of it

Lets be fair, its early in the year and most cars are still of the road, it was there first show, new venue and all that and to make matters worse bedford autodrome limited the number of people on site as well.
Ok not many traders but there was some good stuff for sale today, and lets be fair traders are getting hard to get at shows unless they are big shows.
Track action was good i would say, i was out on track and realy injoyed my self, its a long track with limited viewing points but you could see quite abit.
I say well done to you all it was a brave call and the weather held good, ok it was cold but it is feb.

Excellent day. Car took one hell of a pasting all day and still got me home again.

Huge thanks to Porkie for taking me for a couple of laps in his 3 door. That thing is awsome.

Massive thanks to Steve, Gemma and Clare for sorting it

Let's not turn this into an argument. There are valid comments there, all of them should go towards improving the next show, not put it down outright

Was good considering it was the first show the year and new location! so well done boys and girlies! expecially Nikki who sorted us lot out!

One question was there only one area for show cars? coz i only see the ones in our section, which other then us wasn't many and thought a lot more cars was turning up!

IMO - must agree must have been better for the people who had track passes coz i got a bit bored! Food could have been better as well but luckly i brought some with me no drinks tho !!!!

Yes i meant the quantity of cars , fook no , the quality of the cars on show was top quality.

And yes much respect to the oganisers for being brave enough to start a new show and to put it on in feb .

But IMO i thought the show was poor from a person who wanted a car show...it just wasnt that , it was a track day, with poor spectating view points.

And by me giving it negative feedback the organisers can improve on it next year. If everyone said "oh yeah fooking awesome show" even if the really thought it was poor the organisers would think that there would be no room for improvement next year when there clearly is.

From a traders view it was not worth going ,,,I took Ł200 and it cost me just under Ł300 to go ,,but saying that this is no fault of the people who held the show,, I either didnt have what people wanted , or people just didnt need anything ,,But other than the food issues a very very good effort for all who tried very hard to hold a new show so early in the year

I Hope next year its bigger and better for you all

Regards Paul

Exactly my point this is what im trying to say ...the "show" was not a show as such but a track day

Well maybe it should be advertised as a RSOC Track show

Have to say a big big thanks to Gemma, Clare, Steve and all the other Beds members for making an excellent day. From my point of view the Track session was brilliant. Pits were well organised and not too busy with cars. I loved every minute and the Track is perfect for beginers and more experianced drivers.

Cant comment on the show part, but as a track day one of the best i have been too

i never went but i wanna say that its to be applauded , actually having a go and doing a track day is a big step, everyone is bored of the static shows and the scene imo is moving towards track AND car shows together, which is great imo, unluckily they didnt seem to have every avenue sorted but give the guys and girls credit for taking a big step in an effort to move the scene forward , i'm sure the comments will be taken on board , like they say , ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY, and whats more, wadda ya want for a fiver???

Just how many cars did you expect to see on show?
Most of the 'bufty' types who's whole passion revolves around polishing the fook out of their cars wouldn't dream of taking their cars on the road at this time of year and the same applies to the concours mob

As for the event itself i thought it was well organised and well worth the 5 quid a car entrance fee!

Well done Clare/Steve/Gemma etc.......

I used to be Area Leader for Club Lotus (Bucks, Berks and Oxon) a few years ago, and people would complain like mad that there were no events, so when I took over I made sure there was an event a month (treasure hunt, auto test, F1 visit etc etc) and no one would turn up from 800+ members so I gave it up because if they can take the time to moan they should take the time to participate.
As Spadge said, how many concours cars would you see in Feb! Except mine which was driven there and went round the track.
A really top day had by all the people I brought with me, NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL

great day out, everyone did a great job especially as i understand bedford kept moving the goal-posts!!!

people moaning please bare in mind that it was the first event of this kind to be held at bedord and i suppose we are lucky they allowed a 'car show' to be held there!!

Ive seen a lot worse regional days that have been going years

well done everyone

Last thing needed is any more shows in my opinion, you only end up seeing the same cars at all of them anyway, but the more track action the better.

I couldnt make it sadly, but from speaking to people and reading on here, it sounds like it was a fantastic day out and i really cant imagine that wandering around staring at the same cars as at the last show could ever be as enjoyable as watching them being used how an RS should, driven hard!

And thats just from a spectator point of view, obviously even more fun if you are one of the ones on track.

I REALLY hope that the negative comments dont put the organisers off running it in the same format again, those people who dont like it and just want to wander around looking at hundreds of concours bufty's licking the windows clean on their car are well catered for already and should just stick to the "normal" shows IMHO

More of the same please, from my point of view!!!
It certainly didn't seem as tho' it was the first day BedsRSOC had organised - it was super smooth, and I'd do it again (3 or 4 times a year would be nice)....

Thanks to all involved,

Just got home after the post event piss up (sooooo tired lol), reading through everyones comments i'd just like to say thank you to everyone who helped out yesterday, we were let down by a number of people who had promised to help and didnt show up but there were a few of the Beds members who stepped in at the last minute and came through for us and to those people Steve, Gemma and myself are very grateful.

Thank you to all the Traders and Clubs, good attendance and quality from all

The constructive critisism has been taken on board and it would appear to us that the only complaints came from the static display & trade area. No one seems to have had a bad word to say about the actual Track side of the day.

Its good to see that so many people want more of the same again next year, we will sit down and discuss this option shortly although the breif discussions we have had about this so far suggest that we JUST do a track event and forget about the Show side completely - this is an option we will look into further.

Thanks to all the Beds Members from myself and Gemma for the flowers and the Teddy Bears, it was a lovely gesture that was a complete surprise.

Personal thanks to Tony for letting me abuse his car round the track (not that I had much choice "Just drive it woman, what's the worst you can do!") only had one off which i'm so chuffed at being my first time ever on track.

Cheers to Porkie for the passenger ride in the 3 door, I know Gemma enjoyed that part too

And lastly, thank you to Martin, Mike, Porkie, Lewis, Craig and Rich PON for last night, I havn't laughed so much or taken the piss out of other people so much in sooooooooo long, was a top night oh and Martin 'Purple lipstick suits you darlin'

Back to normal life and early nights now............. woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!
