I got it and to be honest i'm dissapointed with the online play, fantastic graphics for both campaign and online, but the interface for online is rubbish.

xbox360 mate, and when you kill someone online you get no feeling about it so have to keep firing. Maybe i'm just being picky and comparing to cod to much, but i am dissapointed with it.

Same engine, same everthing.
BF3 is awesome on the PC, all the Cod fanboys will hate it because you can't snipe someone across the map with a machine pistol or indeed throw a tomahawk the entire way across it
BF3 has things like bullet drop which makes it a lot more interesting to play.

i thought BF bad company 2 was much better than BF3, i cant even seem to find a harcore mode for BF3 so instead im putting a half a clip into someone, while they turn around and realise im shooting at them then they have time to shoot back...takes too long man. need to put a hardcore mode on. it seems pretty much identical to the medal of honour that came out not long back.

So you expect a big name tag across everyones heads, even the people on the other side?
Not being funny, but I'm pretty sure the Iraqi's don't have name tags appear above their heads when we're fighting them.
IMO, it's THE game of the year. Really want to see how good it is on a PC.
At least untill the new Elder Scrolls comes out

Such a different way of playing than COD. Run around like COD and you'll get twatted.
And all the people saying you have to run miles to the action - you can spawn next to any team mate who's already in the action. I've been on it all day today and had to run once due to all of my team getting blown up together.
I like playing COD but this takes a lot more thinking and tactics

And all the people saying you have to run miles to the action - you can spawn next to any team mate who's already in the action. I've been on it all day today and had to run once due to all of my team getting blown up together.

Couldn't agree more.
My uncle keeps raving on about how CoD will be better blah blah, but like you said, it's a totally different style of game.

I'll buy MW3 and play it to death but I enjoy Battlefield more. Only reason I stopped playing bad company 2 is because my xbox live membership ran out and I'm too tight to buy another. Got this one on PS3

Not that impressed actually but my computer aint up to running it in high/ultra, I enjoyed the game though.
The nail in the coffin was Origin and how they gave away my nickname since 6 years to someone else.
Even EA support forums who use the same information recognize me as the holder of that nickname but still Origin managed to mess up the transfer from EA Download Manager who now says its taken.
Im trying to get support to sort this out but so far it doesnt look good. Seems like it happend to many others too as ive seen users who got every single game in the Battlefield series loose there nickname due to Origin.

the problem you lot are having is becuase your so used to hardcore on cod where it 1 shot kill no matter what weapon
bf series is not the bad company series, bf 3 is for pc, back in the day of bf2 you had to work to kill people thats just the way it is with this, it also depends on where you hit them if you shoot them in the chest arm legs etc it will only fdo som uch damage due to body armour hence its takes some killing of them, in the head is a couple of shots only if that
as mentioned theres bullet drop so long distance you willl not hit them in the head if your aim sight is on the head it will hit a leg or the floor
sniper class has to take into account speed of bullet aswell as bullet drop which make it a very skilled class to use escpically on moving targets
there is a hardcore mode but people still satart off with 60% health so its not cod hardcore where you start off with something like 30% hence its easy to kill
you cannot play bf3 like cod its not a run around camp game its teamwork and objectives to do, if you dont work as a team you will always lose, you need to think of the map and what kit would best suit that map, one with loads of open space and veichles engineers and and snipers are best suited, and assault and support are suited for capuring objectives
close combat maps then its assault all the way as your a medic so always keep your team alive

I thought it was shite too....way too over hyped and doesn't deliver. It's nowhere near as fluid as COD in both aiming and moving around and using vehicles is a nightmare. Planes and helicopters are crap to start off and by the time you've scored enough to upgrade them you've been shot down and crashed more times than it's worth. It was easier to use them in GTA than this
You need to have a lot of time on your hands for BF3, I gave it 3 hours and fucked it off. Problem is if you're only a part timer like me you'll be slow to unlock things and always get your arse handed to you by the sad cunts that spend every waking hour on it

because veichles are like simulation, there easy to drive fly etc, you should try them on bf2 from 2005 on pc you will then see how easy they are to fly in bf3
people are just to used to crap games like cod and cant stand proper games that require tactics and skill to play the game properly
i could quite happily go on cod with 2 weapons and wipe the floor with most people on bf3 im getting my arse kicked all over the place but i enjoy it becuase its a game i can play with my mates and have proper games

Personally a game is just that, a game. I want to pick up and play not have to live on it 24 hours a day just to enjoy it...MW3 all the for me and my inferior gaming habits, you can stick your simulations up your arris

Each to there own,online gaming is all about fun for me... and cod is more fun if you want reality join the army!
And you do need some degree of tactics on cod, if you play S&D.. capture the flag,headquarters ect a good well organised team will win these types of game everytime
I like playing battlefield has has some great features that cod does not, but cod always gets more time (for me) + theres no zombies on battlefield lol

my only problem so far is voice chat is rubbish, choppy as hell.
but overall a decent step up from bc2

i just bought battlefield today, i dont play the online stuff but first impressions of the game is good. ill buy cod next weekend as well and will also enjoy playing that i expect.
loved it ... done 4 hours so far .. yeah the sad twats are there and you get served ... much better in places to hide and cover from things... the graphics are quite good, the game is fluid, although the few i did kill didnt take an entire mag to do so, the helicopters were ok to fly no real dramas not tried planes yet...
not too keen on the web based server finder interface .. done some co-op with a mate and that was fun
was a good few hours of fun this weekend .. my 5770 is slightly struggling though but my mates i7 system now runs everything on ultra as he spent Ł270 on a nvidia 570
think they will tweak things as the game progresses but on ... its an excellent game
and yeah there are already saad peeps getting kicked for aim botting etc ... why bother ... dont make it any more fun ...
