Default Any good recent techy threads?

Anyone got any links to any good techy threads I might have missed in the last couple of months?

Or any cool new builds started, that sort of thing?

What construction are they? Choppped and welded or custom ones from scratch?

Eh hem , chopped and welded, but interference fit. Will do for now and if they break there good prototypes for custom shafts.

How's your Clio coming. Started mocking the vtec engine into my escort this week. Made a slimmer pulled for alternator aswell to make lump skinyer.

Absolutely mate, well worth having a working prototype as quite possible the length may need changing a little anyway once used in anger.

Not really made any real progress yet, just starting to mock it up in the subframe but really short on time as per normal sadly.

I've got plenty of room for the pulley as the clio had a gearbox poking through the chassis leg at that point so I think im going to leave mine alone even though its a lot of unwanted rotating mass, im just nervous about upsetting the dynamic balance of the crank if I lose a lot of weight out of it.
If yours survives though, I'll blatantly copy you

Any pics of the escort progress?

I'll get ya some picks mate. I've moved the servo ect out the way.
I copied the 'N1' pulley fitted to certain teg type Rs that didn't have powerstering.
Works a treat and weighs about 200 grams.

Still scratching my head at the loom at the moment lol

Ah ive taken the easy option on the loom, gone autronic, lol

Interesting about the type r, wonder if the cranks differ at all though, or the flywheels as I do know honda put a lot of effort into getting these things not to vibrate so I'm keen not to mess it up but obviously the ITR engine is even better in terms of revs.

Just pulled the old reclaimed polystyrene roof insulation down to replace with some proper stuff that we're in the middle of putting up, but other than that just been using it rather than doing anything to it mate, looks like all the people thinking it would fall down cause they were too thick to see the big fat fucking pillars are going to be dissapointed

That beam thread is really good, been reading through that.

still think a 200sx backend or similar is a better option though if you really want a sierra to handle
