just about to start building our engine, forged blacktop, stuck on wat to do with oil pump, new genuine, new patten, used that came with engine? your thought

strip and clean the original pump

just a bit worried about doing that, but when i got quoted 236 squid from ford i shat my pant

Totally agree.

There are a few 400+ bhp cars running standard, original oil pumps. I.e. NOT replacements.
