Default What size tyres for Escos with 18*9 wheels?

In ET20 ish. Been offered some MOs and another set of wheels with no tyres, just wondering what size rubber to drop on them?

Was thinking 235/40/18, but can 245/40/18 fit ok?

I've got coilovers so can raise or lower the ride height, and spring / damper clearance I guess should be ok. Standard arches and arch liners that I don't want to bugger about with.

On the 9" wide 18s I run on the Evo, I normally use 245/40s, as they give a nice 90 degree angle to the tyres. Not a fan of stretching, or the polar opposite buldging either

I like the look of 245s on 9s, and no clearance issues on escos as you can get a 255 with out catching the arches

Another set of 9" Evo wheels I have has 245 Pirellies, they look spot on to me. Have gone for 255 Dunlops for the Escort though, so glad you say they'll fit, cheers Jimbo

Any pics of 255,s on a 9 inch MO. I have 235 / 40 x18 on the front and 265 /35 x 18 on the rear. I would like to go for 255 all round. would like to see some pics.

I would say 235/35 or 245/35 would be best
