What amp fuse to use for a fuel pump?

Hi Guys

Just re-wired the fuel pump on my tina and i want to run an in-line fuse holder and fuse. wondering what amp is correct for this?

Its a ZX9r kawasaki pump

Not sure on the exact rating you will need, but it deff needs to be lower then the amp rating of the wire its on.

What do they use on the bike it comes from?

Been searching but couldnt find any info.. But it seems the average bike fuel pump fuse is 10amp.

was just hoping there was a general fuse recommendation for a power to fuel pump wire.

Depends on pump etc. Use the lowest ampage that wont blow.

The fuse is more to protect the wiring itself than the actual pump. So the fuse should always be the lowest that will safely power the device without blowing.
