Default Need some trailer help please, braking.

Hello,

So the other day i brought a car trailer that needed a little TLC

But when i brake it will hit me up the ass! I think it has something to do with this.

When i brake i am sure this hits on the brake on the trailer and stops it from hitting me. But it dont work?

Any help?

Cheers

Yeah i know the pictures are shit but im sure everyone can work out what it is.

That part on the towing bit (pictured) moves really easy and thats why it hits you up the arse.

It is heavy, really heavy!

I know it can take alot of weight though as it used to take a tractor to shows, so i guess it needs to be a heavy ish trailer?

if the hitch is moving freely then thats good and it should b greased up really well, but it should also hav a damper on it to stop it bangin back and forth as u brake and pull away,
