diff rebuild

just trying to strip a sierra 7" diff down and having trouble getting the pinion off. i know the nut size is 36mm and i believe its a left hand thread.

does anyone know the best way to get the nut off?

i use a cranked spaner with an adjustable holding the pinion still

air hammer or whatever its called in UK english on the nut and a rag in the diff

air hammer lol dont help when you put it back togther and have to adjust the pre load on the pinion bearings dose it
