Default Cossie 4x4 - wheel hub bearing

The wheel bearing seems loose inside the centre piece of my front wheel hub, as the hub with the wheel studs freely moves in and out and can be wobbled up freely around side-to-side. Is the bearing goosed? When fitted to the car and the wheel fitted there is a mental amount of play. I do not have the from driveshaft fitted yet so perhaps this is the issue?

the bearing is held in place by the cv joint thing, so if this isn't in there then it won't be right

if it is then you have a fucked bearing

they are a bit fiddly to fit too

The CV joint along with the hub nut keeps everything solid and together. Without this you will have play

Lol I had the same worry when I changed a drive shaft and thought the same thing till I bolted the cv joint back onto the hub.
