question regarding fitting cams -
Can you fit the cams into the head and leave it - basically once you have applied the lube are they fine to sit for a while
The bottom end isn't yet built so they will be sat for a few weeks so will the cams still be lubricated at the later date?
I know FMC used to have complete engine in pallets which is kind of the same

I wouldnt worry about it. Cam lube was more of an issue with old flat tapped engines. The lifters had small contact areas, can journals often narrow and generally oil supply wasnt great.
Modern OHC engines with big diameter lifters it really isnt that important. Just oil them up After sitting for a few days it will be no different than your own car parked up for a few days.
