Default what is a reasonable price to have a diesel pump fitted to my transit?

as above i think my diesel pump has gone on my 2000 newer shape transit and i need it sorted, i always fix all my cars but i hate diesels and i would rather have somone else sort it as iv given up i cant get it going

what type of price should i be looking at to take it to a garage? i will find a pump to keep the price down, i never take my car to garages because most of the time i know more than thay do and thay very rarly fix the problem in my experiance lol,

i had a astra van about a year ago and after taking it to a few garages to sort the problem i had to take it to vauxhall in the end because thay were all money robbers, at vauxhall thay charged me 250 to tell me it was 1 of lifes mysterys (actual words of the goon) so i was 500 out of pocket with nothing done

i am stuck, i cant fix my transit so i have no choice but to give it to the diesel garage down by me,

thanks for looking any advice would be great

thanks diesel

Ł200-Ł250 labour + the pump depends on fwd or rwd, autodata quotes 4 hrs
I changed a rwd last thursday first thing was to put it up on the wash ramp and steam clean the engine where the vacumn pump has been leaking oil for years, by the time the job was done road tested invoiced and ready for collection 6.5 hrs.
The autodata time does not allow any time for getting all the tools out to do the job cleaning them and putting them away, cleaning up work area, job sheet and invoice, or road test.

from what iv been told it is a coded one, its a 2000 2.0 td dura torx di fwd, does it have to be done by ford or can any garage do it with the right equipment? why does it have to be coded? it sounds like another money making scam by ford surly theres no need to have a code

thanks for all your replys

I'm sure you clear the codes before fitting the pump and then I've fitted it reads and saves the codes from the engine thus recoding it itself
