no log book, thats because it needs a vic check.
if there was no problem in getting a vic check on a cat b then it would have been done to help sell the 15k car...
it cant be used on the road until its had its vic and mot either...
who in there right mind would spend that on a car thats been a cat b with no logbook

Leg and flitch would not right off a Ł40,000 rangerover.Damaged i.d put on stolen one me thinks.Although in one pic of the o/s/f the wing looks a different colour to the front and rear doors so might be a bad repair.Too much money to risk anyway.
didnt think cat b could go back on road just sold for parts. vic check is just to check chassis and engine numbers are all correct they dont check for damage. maybe its not been vic checked coz the numbers are dodgy

doesn't a car get a cat b break only listing if someone got killed in it, maybe thats what it was, and got repair before someone realized, and now they can't get log book for it

Not necessarily, there's no hard and fast rules regarding classification amazingly,it could be simply down to the assessor on the day and the circumstances regarding the crash,as stated above could be someone was run down and killed in suspicious circumstances etc.
Charlotte church had her merc ml attacked by mice on her farm, all the wirings wrecked and it's ended up in a well known breakers in Swansea, that's cat b but aside from a bit of wiring and a new interior it's mint.
Particularly between cat c/d it's laughable,I've seen cat c's with literally a scratch down the side and your thinking "uh???" then I've seen cat d's that look like they've been dropped out of an aeroplane!!!

i wanted to take aload of the tidy scrapage cars abroad but got a proper job so didnt, woudl have been good tho but import taxes can put pay to it if its outside eu and not many want em inside eu behaust of rhd issues
some of em were really good cars, 40k fiestas btu also v plate minter jags
i digress......

wing and door are well off too, they match from the rear view but not from the front
anyways if they have a recipt from the salvage or similar corrosponding with the chassis no (at its legit) then its cool

they send foreign lorries for loads of salvage from the local yard to me, some are totally fooked so must be rung or just parts becaysue theres often half a car
must be money in, it, not cheap to run a lorry, especially a transporter
lol
well welded on wing
if it dotn work its a rs1600i decaled mk3 cabrio, s2 interior, looke good actually

if the stolen recovered with the keys and found damaged with no keys it could be cat-b, if its been smacked before its woth nothing anyway, very common for "new" cars to have been written off twice, 3rd time its gone.
happening at nearly all salvage yards nowadays and they buy all the shite at top prices too

Cat b definatly cannot be put back on the road it's for salvage and breaking only and as far as exporting a car to be driven abroad it would need to have a logbook/v5 to be exported which would never be given to a cat b car no exceptions. Hope this helps.
trade plates or transporters get them moved and catb do get put back on the rd, people on here have done it
Having said all of that I will add that the car needs to still have its stamped in VIN and engine numbers for this to work.

Agreed with Martin, cat b's can get logbooks and can can back on the road, but not many insurance companies would pay out on a cat b again, but they probably would happily insure you.
Also you can export CAT B's, the HPi register is UK only i.e a cat b car here wont be a cat b car aboard, and to re register a car in some euro countries you only really need the export certifcate hence why the price of breakers have shot through the roof because of the polish lituahians turks etc

You are wrong, they can be put back on the road LEGALLY, have you tried to do this??? The person at fault here is with the greedy salvage dealer who let it escape the system but once its been sold to an individual then theres nothing they can do to stop you putting it on the road. You wouldn't get away with anything dodgy on a cat B as most times the police vehicle squad examine the vehicle as well as the DVLA.
