will get some pics up when i arrives.
Yes going to remove the air con , rear seats etc. As for the engine looking to go itb's so any advice is very welcome. Any ways it here but the batts died on my camera lol shows how much i use it ! Running lumpy at the moment expect its to do with the o2 sensor.
Its got a set of wolfrace 17,s on it at the mo which will be going up for sale soon to fund somthing light wieght.
And i only live 10 miles away from Ktec.Bonus.

thats not a great thing being close to ktec they aint exactly popular over with rtoc mate.
defo lightweight alloys and remove as much as possible all sound deadening makes a big difference its a pig to remove but worth it.
get it on coilovers and a decent cage in there, uprate the brakes then look at the engine.
they respons really well to cams/headwork and throttle bodies its not cheap of course but you can reach 220bhp rather easily if money will allow

there was a yellow turbo'd phase 1 172 at croft doing the 0 to 60 and it went really well think i did it in close to 5 seconds.
wonder how much they can be turbo'd for. been thinkin of getting one myself

Have no idea about renualts, Ktec not good then ?, they do look a bit pricey. Looking to get some willwoods, also seen some enki's that will fit. who else tunes them? 220 sounds good will be setting my sights on 250 so maybe a turbo it will have to be!. Purely going to be a road legal tracker.
you dont really need go to a renault specialist to tune the engine as most of it is good old fashioned tuning eg cams, headwork etc its a shame your so far away as id advise you to come up to stoke (am motorsport).
as i said id firstly get a good set of brakes and coilovers along with a set of lightweight alloys on there and strip it right out this on its own will improve your lap times.
Then to start sort the breathing out on the car full exhaust system including manifold, good induction kit and port match the manifolds this combined with a remap will see some good gains. then you can enjoy the car whilst saving for cams throttle bodies etc

You DON'T want Wilwoods. I have them. Pad area is smaller than std brakes. so no point.
The cup racers used std brakes. So should you. just use std calipers with ds2500/3000 pads and Brembo HC discs, decent fluid and lines.
You don't want ITB's, again I have them. Far too expensive for the gains you get.
Just keep it simple. get it serviced and maintained properly. If you want to mod it at all. Get some decent coilover suspension and gets Mark fish in harlow to set the car up. Thats the biggest thing that makes the most difference to track performance and enjoying it.
Decent race seats and harnesses make a big difference to way the car 'feels' as well. As does a decent wheel. Standard one is big and will be knackered.
I wouldn't strip it too much. keep it a nice place to be.
