Default buying a rs turbo

hi there peeps i no someone with a rs turbo for sale and im looking into buying it its a e-reg ford escort rs turbo he has it up for £1200 and i ask him if there was anythink rong with it and he siad there was abit of lag at top end of turbo think thats how he siad it but will be ok if it gos on the rolling road and tuned but dont no how much that is or if thats ture need some help im going to go look at it tomoz can anyone tell me about this and what do i need to look out for thanks ben

Makes sure you have deep pockets and alot of patience!

Lag at the top end of the turbo doesn't sound right. Might be the boost is tailing off? weak actuator or something along those lines maybe?

Rolling road set up varies on where you go and how long its on there. Place I get mine done charges around £80 an hour.

Rust to check: battery tray, fuse box and sills. See if you can have a good rummage behind the bodykit.

For that kind of money it's going to need work mate unless the person selling it is a complete retard lol. Rust is your main worry. RS turbos are great fun, I miss mine

as said rust is the biggest worry. i miss mine as well its just gone to the big scrapheap in the sky.
