Default Running 2ltr zetec on 1600 management

Hi guys

was thinking of rhe 2ltr conversion in my mk6 escort 1600, im gonna go the easy silvertop route, but what i was hoping to do, was use the 1600 ecu management just for a month, until i get the pre pats ecu,

is there anyone who is running, or did run a mk5 escort with 2lte silvertop lump, on the 1.6 management?

I know its not ideal, but it wont be for long,

also, would it run a little better then the 1600 though?

You can do it but will run very lean so avoid full throttle.
I ran a 2.0 on 1.8 management andvthat run so lean had to abort the dyno run at around 5000 rpm.

cheers for reply,

ok, is it poss to remap the 1600 ecu to 2ltr spec? via one of those preformance remapping companys

the only reason for this, is my garage man will not go near the ecu, and i want the engine change to be as simple as pos, otherise he wont entertain the idea, but once i have the engine dropped in there, its 90% job done, the ecu will have to be done seperate

Ive done this before. It will run but dont give it balls out or you might blow the engine.

The ecu change is so simple. Straight swap two bolts, you cant go wrong. If i remember rightly the best ecu for a 2.0 conversion is the "GURU" coded ecu, well best for a fiesta anyways

GURU is the standard 1.6 Fiesta Si ECU

The best and easiest ECU to use are pre PATS 2.0 Mondeo ECUs with the code DEEP, DESK or DEWY along with a matching 2.0 MAF sensor
