bmw 330d m sport
Im thinking of purchasing one of these and selling my escos, which means i can garage up the frs mk2, and use the bmw as our daily just wondering if any of u pf users have had one or know anyone who's had one and know if there are any common problems ect, econimy or even anything specific to look for when viewing one. the more info the better. cheers
Ive had one for a year now, superb motors. What sort of age are you after as there is a few choice of engines, pre 2003, 2003-08 and 2008 onwards, newer the better really. No real problems to be honest, most common thing seems to be front brake calipers seizing.
Re-map is a must....
I get around 40 mpg.
You are more than welcome to have a blast in mine before you buy, im just the other side of Sutton Bridge.

My old dear had a 2005 330d Cabrio (204bhp, 6sp manual) and it was brilliant, used to do c38mpg average and pulled well with it. Was great fun to drive.
She had problems with bushes/bottom arms on the front, the rear diff going bang and that's about it I seem to remember... I really wanted to get a remap on the sly, but after the diff went bang I didn't want to cause issues with any future warranty claims.
Cheers,
Grant

Yes 2003 cars onwards are 204bhp. They are known to have swirl flaps problems. So becareful with this as they can snap and launch the engine! Other than that they are good.
