and yes it's superb. The bf series is back with a proper bang! Very excited to use the EOD bots for c4 kamikaze.

Oh and for all the people like me who missed commorose it's also back in too

 

I'm still very curious about the console versions.
Especially xbox, with microsofts incredibly strict bandwidth play experience rules which usually halves the amount of online players.

 

never seemed a problem on battlefield 2, think its 16 a side. 32 a side would be great thou!

I assume you mean Bad company 2, on xbox that was 24 players. They kept it 12 a side to keep the lag down.

BF3 is boasting 64 players. However, I cant see xbox allowing that. Looking at the size of the 64 player maps its going to be awful lonely out there on console.

The developers have concentrated on the pc this time as they are now miles ahead of the consoles in what they can do.
They havnt ignored the consoles as that would be suicide for any developer, however compromises have had to be made.

It will be miles better. New game engine , vehicles, big player count, big maps, more realistic gameplay, commo rose system for teamwork

COD/MW3
same old engine, small player count, run and gun fest, reskinned game under different title, Sardine sized maps, poor graphics. killstreaks

BF3 was lead platform for the game to be designed on as it's the follow on from BF2(pc only) so the consoles will not get certain things like the pc will such as commo rose or 64 player count due to memory and having oolder tech but that's tough.

FPS games should truly be played on pc's anyway just for the lolz

They ARE pretty poor compared to most othe FPS games.

Consoles are really showing their age with BF3, it looks tens times better on a decent PC.

 

Sad thing is more people will be buy MW3 not for the game play etc, but just for the brand

 

dont compare bf3 to bad company 2 or cod series

the battlefield series was mainly for pc only hence its called battlefield 3 as us pc players our last bf game was 2142 after bf2

we never got bad company 1 only console players did but bad company 2 was a complete let down for us pc players

bf3 i think will destroy cod3 as cod 3 is not going to be dedi servers which is crap, consoles will also get 24 man servers i think possible 32, but pc is 64

i carnt wait for this game im going to have to upgrade my pc for it but then the graphics for this game on pc a console will just not be able to cope

and im looking forward to blowing up huge buildings with gay snipers in there

 

He has a point, run at a bush in Batlefield and you brush through it, try doing that in COD and you get stuck like its made out of concrete

played it a few weeks a go when doing the alpha trials , awesome on the pc ,

 

to run bf3 on pc you need at least a quad core and 4 gig of memory and a very fast grafics card minium, more the better

 

i was gutted as i couldnt do it due to no internet as just moved house lol, beta starts in septempber and its an open beta so anyone can have a go

time to look into servers soon aswell

As to the gfx, i know that BF3 has been designed and well thought out graphics and dynamic lighting wise and the trailers only prove this.... can't say much else for that MW3 tbh....

Suprised there are any bushes to hide in on COD with those tiny useless spray and pray maps

 

Perosnally cannot wait... seems with 64 players it going back to BF2 which is such a better game gameplay wise to BC2, but with the gfx (and then some of BC2)

Should be an amazing game, loved the last one and think I'll be going PC this time. And what's good is that its out before COD MW3 so hopefully I won't get roped into that same old prestige, run and gun/knife rubbish again.

Might add a stick of ram just to be on the safe side.

 

I like the idea of supressive fire. Should give people a reason to use support classes with big inaccurate guns!

The maps are smaller on the console versions and it will be 32 players all in, i think it will be very good, Dice are no fools.

battlefield and bad company are two completely different games so you carnt compare them bc is for consoles only but this time the console people are getting a pc game for console

i went on bf2 the other night came out in 2005 still kicks the arse out of bad company series

 

I think you'll find your wrong there MW3 will have dedicated servers on the PC

 

well they have not long changed it then, but call of duty will be shit they get boring very quick as no teamwork its all one man for himself, only reason i play cod is for something to do but i will delete the games when bf3 comes out

 

It depends what you are after. COD is a run and gun. BF3 will be a slightly slower pace.
Like for example, some people love team fortress 2, others love red orchestra. Just depends what you like.

 

cods to easy, i like team work andn objectives n point in having clans in cod unless you play leagues at least bf is more of team play which is more fun and you have huge maps and transport

 

I find the trouble with COD, regardless of what game mode you play, everyone just treats it as a team deathmatch.

 

exactly as thats all it is really the objectives are crap and the maps are too small and the kits arnt designed to be used in the maps very well, people play dem as tdm becuase its instant respawn where tdm you have to wait to respawn, hence why dem is so popular

 

So true and so fucking annoying, i was trapped behind a fucking plan pot last night.

I get serious rage with mw2, im just glad i mute everyone so nobody can hear me greeting my heart out about respawning and instantly dying by the same guy that just killed me.

 

Well, 64 players sound's very nice indeed, might just have to get a new computer just for it! My poor old laptop just can't cut it anymore, used to be awesome but not any more.

Anyone got any recommendations for good performing computers on the market at the minute, preferably around £400-500
