Default CTS stage 1 gearbox

looking at getting one for my S2, bernie told me, they have different diff, and big bearings.

Has anyone got one, whats it like to drive? torque steer etc

Waste of money IMO, it's just a rebuilt BC gearbox with IB5 bearings and a RST LSD fitted.
Go get an IB5 from a MK5 escort for Ł25 and wack your diff in, the IB5 also has more webbing on the casing to help prevent flex so is a little stronger too... Yes it bolts straight up

Oh whatever you do they will both drive just the same as a normal RST box, as essentially thats what they are.

So long as the starter motor fitting is in the correct place and it's an IB5 (not an MTX like in the RS2000) no it doesnt matter, gear ratio's will be different from model to model of course.

AJ-RST1 you still get the IB5 and quaiffe IN! so i would say stage 2

Yeah if you drop a Quaife ATB in then it will indeed be a CTS Stage 2 box!
