only one reason for this swap really my 2.0l engine is shagged and my mate has a very low mileage 1.8l 130hp zetec engine which he will let me have it so does this cause any issues or is it straight swap? Thanks very much for all your help

 

would you not be better to just find a old mondeo with a decent 2.0 in it, there is plenty about for peanuts. no hassle then

 

yes you are right but why spend money if you can have it for free?
If its not a straight swap then i will be looking for a 2.0l one anyway.

I don't think it will be, ecu might have to be different amongst other bits.. but to be fair others on here may be more use than me.. so bump to the top.
