maybe there is someone used to sell...
thanks
For the power you are aiming to run I would go for a custom crank and rod combo from Farndon made from a stronger billet material with more meat on the webbing to resist flex

If you cant wait 12 weeks for farndon to make one go with the Farndon one Burtons have in stock
And dont use Arrow rods
Get Farndon (robson engineering), to supply you direct with some custom / stronger ones

Drop Steveboyslim off here a PM regarding the Arrow parts, he can possibly sort you out a better price than retail.

Now I do not want to build a new engine
I just do not want to have it broken thr crank
Two of my close friends have had engine failures with Arrow rods bending, fact
Arrow machine the centre section of the H rod too deep close to the bottom shell area which causes them to bend under high load
Farndon do not machine as deep on their rods due to experience
Farndon rods are heavier but stronger
I have a custom Farndon crank and rods myself and the quality is very good
As for the cranks, Farndon have been making cranks for years, A few years ago a guy called doug kiddie who worked for Farndon set up on his own making cranks.
A few years ago Doug Kiddie sold the outfit to arrow who where a con rod manufacturer to get them into the crank business.
Due to the buy out all the machines were relocated to the arrow factory but rumour has it few of the experienced machinists moved with the equipment.
Thats why in my opinion Arrow have only a handfull of years experience with making cranks.
And also the fact they usually try and charge twice the price of Farndon for them.
Swindon Race Engines have a state of the art machine for making cranks but the price will be high, cosworth has crank making facilities also

Suprised to hear that !
It would be interesting to hear who is using either arrow or farndon in powerful engines on here.
I know people who use both arrow and farndon cranks and rods with no troubles at all

Both of my mates run Farndon cranks for the last 5 years with circa 800 whp with no issues.
Ian howell used a Doug kiddie crank in his 600bhp plus duratec turbo engine before it split the block but he had to send it back a few times as it didn't fit in his block the first couple of times.
Dont know anyone with an Arrow crank as there too expensive
