Default Help needed asap please!!!!

hello got a bit of an issue with a sensor that seems to be missing from my car iv had the car running (with a tow after fitting a donor engine) but it wont operate the metering unit when turning on the key!!
BUT as i say iv had it running but the head gasket has gone so iv just stripped the head off etc cleaned the block, then on inspection of the head iv noticed that there is a hole for a sensor in tmiddle of the injector sandwich plate!! i have no idea what should be there, and what colour and where to get what i need, i have no idea why it would of been removed either!!! any help would be muchly apprieciated!!

( there is a yellow sensor on one side just underneath and a pipe just under on the other side if this helps!!

cheers fella's!!

would this sound about right??

beige = auxiliary air.
black = throttle position sensor.
green = knock sensor 90 spec.
blue = cold start.
yellow = thermo time switch.
dark yellow = temp sensor

If it's missing you'll have water pissing out everywhere! Probably why the HG had gone.

cheers fellas, but i sorted out in the end, it was the thermo time switch but from fords it was 93 quid plus VAT!!! so i had a sump plug bolt from and astra or something in my box of nuts and bolts with exactly the same thread whacked a washer on it done it up and it runs fine so if any1 ever needs a thermo time switch dont bother with the price and just get a cheap sump plug... my tip of the day lol
