Default Ford sierra 1.6 cvh improvement

hello again!
i hove one more question about the lazy 1.6 80hp sierra
is there any way to make this engine produce more hp by reprogramming the ecu?
i know that this engine is made for not to take any modifications but i don;t want to accept it
i can believe that it produces only 80 hp while other engines of the same age were producing at lest 100hp
can i do somethinh except from changing parts from the inside of the engine?

You can improve it, without going inside the engine, but it will be a serious money pit, for next to no gain, this would involve different ecu/injection/exhaust etc.
A serious waste of time trying imo.

I could be wrong but I'm sure cosworths were lower than stock sierras from the start so that would explain why

What he said ^^, the Cosworth is lower than lesser models, and as such the springs are shorter are rated differently.

In addition, the whole rear beam is different on a Cosworth model (2WD), as are the trailing arms, the latter are different so as to suit the lower ride height IIRC.

To be honest you most likely have ruined the geometry and it will handle worse on those than it did before!

4x4 has a higher ride height overall, I know 3DRS have a "Nose dive" stance, not sure on the 4x4.
