Are T34's a direct fit?
Just used the magical search function and yeah need to cut and shut a cossie downpipe into my own so as to retain the cossie turbine housing which of course flows better than an RST one too.
I know it's going to be laggy! But it will flow for 300bhp and it's cheap!

I'm with crazy cage, 55/.48 will be perfect for you
With the right spec it will make 300 mine made a smidge over but I run 280 ish in the car as its plenty for round my way

It was just offered to me so thought I'd try it but TBH having to fuck about making a downpipe etc is a bit too much hassle if it's really that bad.
I've got a stock one to fit today just to get me running again, so will keep an eye out for a bargain .48/55 or save my pennies up for a GT2560R.

The cosworth T34 is a little laggy on the cvh. The Iveco daily T35 is much better for this use and has less lag than the T34 and flows better than the 4x4 T3 with .48 housing.

You can get a T34 with a .48 back housing to spool by 3500rpm on a 16 CVH. Depends how badly you hat lag but that seemed pretty acceptable wit the engines willing to rev from there all the way round to 6800rpm.

60trim on a 0.48 housing, will push well and used the same on my former zvh.
cheap power upgrade, boost came on at 2500rpm and full boost by 3200rpm, on a 1.8 zvh of course.

This talk of when they make boost is a bit vague and can't really be compared as it will depend on many many things... What manifolds you have, head work, cam, cam timing, mapping, what gear your in, what your ratio's are, what size wheels you run, how much weight your carrying and if the road is flat/incline/decline etc..
My gears for example are really really close (top out at 125mph) so i get through the rev's really fast leaving less time for the turbo to spool giving the illusion of a laggy turbo.
When I ran my old box which was really really long (theoretical top speed of 188mph)with 17" wheels it was the exact opposite.

very wierd IMO
you need the 5 bolt turbine housing ,that will bolt to your elbow,if you on a stage 3 t3 your turbine should be a .48 and bolt too the t34
1900 cvh and zvh will work fine on t34 with a .48 turbne my mate run.63 on turbine 1900 cvh 1 bar works fine quick box 130 tops
2000cc cossy standard had a t34 with a .63 housing and was quick enough
so a zvh will have no problem

I don't think my engine loads up enough to spool the turbo properly in the lower gears.
wilky if you do that the act will be massively higher due to the smaller size of the compressor housing. You should not use or sings that have been machined out for this reason.
i could be wrong but i have done it when room was a problem and it worked ok [think it was on a 4x4 v6]
What is the difference and is it a straight swap onto an RST?
