The wife has a sea grey '59' plate titanium model..her's is the All Wheel Drive model which was brilliant in the bad weather we got last year, never got stuck once..it's quite good on fuel 35-40mpg and very nippy for a big car..it also tows my 21ft twin axle caravan with no bother at all..after reading a previous post about overtaking one that was stuck spinning..be aware that most are only 2wd and ARE shit in the snow etc..the AWD model is a completely different car.

was def an awd model as all wheels were spinning, i think it was due to the tyres on it an the fact as soon as a bit of snow comes along a think im richard burns lol

My sister just got one a 4wd not a 2wd and so far it seems a decent motor. 2.0TDCi she sold her Mk5 CDTi SRi 3dr xp Astra for it as shes expecting a little one. Admitably not to every ones taste but as a "mums bus" it seems pretty reasonable.

To those who say rubbish, yes if your wanting a RS but these are in a compleatly different catagory, and In my opionion are much better buy than the Freelander, antera, Quashqui and such. And as she wasnt wanting VAG as there in her opinion a bit boring and common. The Q3/5 and Tiguian were not a option.

That is all..

the four wheel drive system is the same as the nissan Qashqai. my dad should be getting one soon but he doesnt expect much from the four wheel drive bit just wants a big car. cheap 4 wheel drive rs if you get the spec when ordering.

I think they look quite nice. Don't really like them much in black cos they look a bit bland but wouldn't mind a tidy white one with a few exterior additions.

but soo much more usable as you can put the power down?

I've driven both petrol and diesel kugas and totally loved the auto 2.5 awd kuga - better to drive everyday than a focus rs imho!

My dad has a white 2wd titanium, looks good but dunno about its limits as hes an older man so doesnt exactly gonna be testing them. Hes getting the new shape onewhen it comes out, is meant to be bit bigger.

Considering the kuga is 100bhp down, and does 0-60 in 8.2 seconds, and the focus rs does it in 5.7 seconds(book figures), the kuga really doesn't have better acceleration!

I have the AWD Zetec 2.0 litre. However it is very very very thirsty, and I'm not too convinced with the AWD capability, I live in a rural area and with the recent downpour of rain, the ground is soggy and cars sinking into the ground, I've coped so far but this is mud I'm talking about, so there's a bit of grip to a standard, I don't think it will be great in the snow?
The plus side though if it starts flooding at least I've a bit of ground clearance

I know it sounds like I'm putting the machine down, but all in all its not that bad, it's comfy, doesn't stand out and good for space and lugging large items about. Thought about adding exterior bits but seen some pics of people putting chrome and spot lights on a Kuga in all colours, it looks very wrong. The only thing I can think of to change its appearance but in taste is colour coding the plastics around the wheels and bumper, getting rid of the Chrome trim somehow

I'm not going to do anything with it at all, just run it for a short while. Get rid after winter.

My friends has developed a fault with the awd system. They think its a faulty diff solenoid.
