ok so i am rebuilding the engine on my escort rs turbo, its a 1988 F reg, i have got some new main bearings for it, however the old ones are half grooved and half plain, yet the new ones i have are all grooved, does anyone know if i can still fit these or are they wrong?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

they are wrong m8, u need pre 88 bearings

 

ah rite, i thought as much, i got them from burton power but they didnt list any other types going by age, i'll give them a ring i think and sort out some different ones, cheers for your help mate.
