Default can i sell my dads car?

i know there has been a few issues with people selling cars for peole who are not members here so a little history before you say no

my dad bought a car about a year ago

he wanted to have a car simply so that he could keep his no claims discount going

he's driven it all of about 300 yards since he's bought it

when i asked him what he wanted to do with it he's said "do what you like with it"

he's 70 years old and isn't going to drive again as far as he's concerened

so can i sell it or would i need to get the logbook changed to my name before offering it up for sale?

if it's a no i'll wait for the paperwork to come through before posting any details of what it is etc and i will also refrain from giving out details via pm

if yes, i can't even find the log book so don't even know what engine it's got under thebonnet

thanks

Thanks for the clarification

So the next question is this:

If I got the log book changed to my name would I then be able to sell it?

Or would it be easier for old father Dojj to simply join up, spend his tenner on gold membership and then post it up for sale?

One method is cheaper and the other is more time consuming.

I'd get your old man to join up mate... that would save putting another owner on the logbook.
