Default Phase 3 1.5 vs 2bar.....

I've not had my sapphire for very long and am taking it to a local tuners to have it rolling road'd on weds as when it was mapped it was live mapped, just curious as to what power it might be running????

Spec:-

bbr gas flowed/ported and polished cylinder head
bbr le manns cams
ported and polished inlet matched to head
throttle body matched to inlet
group A headgasket
t34 .48 with 360 bearing and cut back blades
3" system
dark green injectors
3 bar map sensor
BBR chip

It's ruuning 1.5bar/22psi at the moment - I'm hoping to up the boost to 2bar/30psi as long as fueling etc is ok, just wondering how much stronger it's likely to feel?

You need a bigger turbo and injectors to get the best out of that.

You might see around 350bhp if your lucky.

I had to have the gearbox rebuilt within 4 months of having the T38 fitted, and i only use the car once or twice a month lol

I'd be happy at that tbh... I thought greens were good for 380 and greys were for 400+?

So at 1.5bar on greens - realistically it's running around 320bhp?

depending on the state of tune and condition yea if all in good order, .48 can make a reliable 360-370bhp and many people have said are awesome road cars in the past

As with all things injectors vary enormously, I've had dark greens that were at 80% duty at 300bhp, I run a T3/34.48, for 300bhp @ 17psi, with same torque, boost starts at 1400rpm and full by 2500rpm so good road car, I don't go into this number chasing.
If it's been live mapped why are you having it done again ?

Car was live mapped by nms in 2007 - 4 years ago and has done 10k since, just curious as to the actual power it's putting out like I said. Also it was mapped to 1.9bar, 7200rpm limit and an afr of 11.9. Now only running 1.5bar, so guessing it's been turned down at some point? Not chasing any figures, just want the best out of it and get things checked again...

It peaks at 1.9 bar and holds 1.5 bar. Will find with most mapped cars you will have a peak reading and a lower figure that it holds. Ain't been turned down and nothing wrong with actuator.

Cheers

I dare say that what it was mapped to that before as per my previous post...

As per Tony's add when I bought the car....

'the car is only running 1.4 peak dropping to 1.2 bar and is estimated by nms at 350/370 bhp so well within its capabilitys with scope for a lot more'

https://passionford.com/forum/cars-f...-recieved.html

It holds boost fine and dont doubt there's not a problem with the actuator, but it must have been turned down at some point... will see how I get on

When I had the car Matty, it did what nms mapped it at. Only problem I had with it was when the wiring on the amal valve broke down at the plug, and stopped it holding boost properly. There is scope for more power, was mapped the way it was for reliability.

If its running at 1.5 mate its doing what its suppose to be doing when it was mapped. If you watch the gauge in 4th or 5th gear, it will go round to 1.9 and tail off to 1.5 and hold there. Cant see why Tony wrote that, must of been having a senior moment lol. Putting 2 bar through a T34 ain't gonna last long mate.
