how hard is it to change a cambelt on 1.8 tdci
hi all
its near that time,
my focus estate needs a cambelt change
the kit was about £80 when i asked last year, but garage wanted £250 to do the job
how hard is it to change cambelt ?.
read the manual, does not appear to much,
used to doing my own repairs, but i'm getting older, so don't do things that quick now

It is not a hard job, mine was changed by a mate and it took him 20 minutes, £250 sounds like a joke. If you don't want (or in my case didn't have to) try it yourself I would suggest you shop around for a good price.
