hi, im new to this site, and ive just bought a fiesta mk2 1.4s and planning to do lots of work on it but not sure on what to start with, ive bought it to compete in the local rally's in north wales in the 1.4 class, at the moment its pretty standard, and have about 6mths to get it ready,
ive been told a few things like rs turbo gearbox etc, but would like to ask ppl on here for what they would do to it from original to rally prep its going to be for pleasure (but i am competitive lol), engine, gearbox, brakes, susspension etc,
any input i would be very grateful

engine will need to be std or modded? i expect either way you will need to stay 1.4 block and head both of which are shite
anything 1.6 will improve it but many are not interchangeable

susp = coilies
gearbox series 2 rs turbo (for the lsd see the different so you dont get ripped off you need to be ables to see right thru the diff when shafts are out)
brakes ned upgrading as good as you will need woudl be 4x4 cossie calipers and rs2000 mk5 disks, you can go better but doubt you will need too they are fuckin good brakes

depend what mods you are allowed
good seat sand harnesses, Sd cages are generally best, lots of fg panels if you want light

main prob with any mk2 fiesta is rust, you dont want any! gotta be strong car incase it goes tits up
