mods wise hybrid,exhaust,decat,manilfold,forge actuator,forge recirc,air to air intercooler(optional),gen 2 should see you running 350 at 22-24psi

Are these reliable running this power on completely standard internals? Wouldn't ARP head studs and rod bolts be advised? And also iirc clutch would need changing at that sort of power.

join the rsoc and the new frsec site, you'd be better buying the bits and adding them yourself or contact demonpete from stanthorne cars http://www.stanthornecars.co.uk/ and he'll help you no bother.

turbo - guy on the above sites called johnfrs,he builds hybrids for these cars and there top notch
manifold - theres pd and jek, these are prob the best, then theres miltek and blueflame the best of the rest
actuator and dv007 recirc dumpvalve- get these from forge motorsport with a blue spring or if you want to run a boost controller yellow spring and yellow spring in the dump valve if your running blue spring in the act
exhaust- mongoose, miltek, blueflame or if your really flush a pd one
gen 2 - contact graham at car parts express http://www.carpartsexpress.co.uk/ he should be able to get you one of these
decat - again same as exhaust mongoose, miltek etc
air to air intercooler(optional, not needed unless car gets a doing) pro alloy, radtec, airtec, all pretty much the same
these mods should give you 350bhp,clutch may last it may not, options for them is ap paddle,ap organic or sachs racing clutch, carpartsexpress for these again
and youll need some decent brakes to stop.ap 6 pots or contact shins from above sites and he can get the ap 2 peice which alot of frs guys use

hope that helps

I'm seriously considering ditching my S1 for one of these.

With regards to the above mods to achieve 350 BHP what sort of mapping/ecu mods would have to be used?

Do Dream science/ Bluefin do a plug and play for this level of tune?

Im fairly sure puma speed do complete kits for these for the BHP you want and they fit it too for a charge as well IIRC

can run on standard map, my mate ben had a johnfrs turbo and blue flame exhaust with decat with manifold and just reset the ecu after fitting, had the afr checked and all was good

I would say that car had a MAP on it as at that power a FRS with bluefin or dreamscience would be on the limit of the fuelling system .

forgot to add map to my earlier post, bluefin, dreamscience or custom map whether it be unichip or msd remap these aswell which seems to get good results

you cant even run a standard map with just a decat, fuelling will be all over the place, map is first thing to mod imo

Think what the lad is saying is the map didnt need to be customised (re-mapped) but the bluefin or which ever generic map worked fine with new mods after a ecu reset.

to make 360bhp it needs to have some sort of generic map or be remapped on the std ecu from someone like msd
having no map with a decat would throw up the eml and very much doubt it would make 360bhp on std map

As Jambo said even a decat would bring up eml as i had that problem with a sportscat and no MAP

The car WOULD have had a generic map on it (bluefin or whatever), not just a totally standard car......he may not have installed the map himself!
