got no boost in my cozzy, but at 28mph a loud whine comes in, its not the turbo as i have swapped it could it be the actuator?????

 

Soiund slike a boost leak somwhere, check all your boost hoses are on properly and none are split, the one coming off the turbo to intercooler would be the 1st one i'd check. Also check dumpvalve, check intercooler hasn't cracked somewhere. The whining noise (like a squealing?) is probably the turbo overspeeding due to the leak so don't keep driving it until you've found the leak or you will kill the turbo.

 

If it had a leak bad enough to kill all the boost, you'd hear it, I think you have a dud turbo, does it spin ok ?

I would think the turbo as well, but then he says his replaced it, the actuator may be faulty and no longer able to control the wastegate do you have another you could try?

turbo is 100% mint. i will look into the hoses and wastegate
