out of my 2l mk1 cross country, through towns including traffic and therefore not eco at all i would get 31 mpg.

long motorway stuff sticking to 70 should be very good!

What? I get sub 30mpg out of my 1.6 around town.
On the motorway at 65-70mph I get about 50mpg.
If I put the hammer down abit on my private motorways and have a few high speed sprints I get about 35-40mpg.
I need a bigger engined Focus I think

mine were decent runs of 45 miles though. if all you do is short start stop purely round town with lots of engine stats it will be signifacantly worse.

i can easily get very low 20's when playing

my old escort si`s did 30 mpg easily, and i regularly thrashed them, got to ford fair (220 mile to get there)on a little over 1/4 tank in my rs1800 fiesta steady 70 mph all the way, but my 1.6 escort would only do 25 mpg on a good day,too underpowered i think

my focus 2.0 gets pretty much the same as phil, its the cold start short journeys that kill the mpg average 30mpg ,on a long run doing around 60-70 it will do 45mpg

yep sticking to 55-60 on a long motorway journey and you'd be amazed at how economical they are, my problem is i hate driving that slow on the motorway

Our 08 Focus Zetec 1800 TDCI hatch 50,000 miles has just been exchanged for a new 1600 Titanium stop start TDCI hatch.
The old one showed 46 MPG during winter and 54 MPG in summer.
