Default Best turbo for stage 3 chip?(pinto)

for a fast road/track car what turbo would you use? wanting around 330-350 reliable bhp, cossie bottom end with pinto head and efi inlet manifold!

T34.48 mate.. Fast spool up and good for 350hp

cheers pal thought it would be good saving money though so cheaper alternative is a chinese t04e for £150, i was lookin at all sorts like chinky t70 or gt30 or even a holset!

Sometimes its better to spend a little more in one go then buying 2 or 3 replacments if tge turbo goes bang.. The garret t34 has been tried n tested for years mate and it is a awesome turbo

im interested building a pinto turbo trying to keep it on a budget and use some parts i already have,i've got a T3 from a cosworth and a couple that came from ERST and FRST one of them will be going on a 205 bottom end with an efi head any idea what kind of power im looking at with a few mods cam vernier megasquirt sorry for the hijack and good luck with your build.

Agree 100%, T34.48 cars are superb as a road car, has the punch of the T3 but makes that bit more BHP and is a hoot @ 32psi peak, really loved that setup on my old 3dr...

First thing i'd do is fit a complete Cosworth engine.

Will an EFi head do 350bhp un fettled??

As above, imo I can't see the head/manifold being able to flow well enough for the power you want as standard, thats the same as a slightly fettled YB makes! Real world more likely 250-300HP at the most I should think with porting etc.

if the best real world option is a YB what is the going price for one either standard or early stage spec ?
