Hi

I basically have a fibre feed coming into my building, which i goes to a fibre termination unit.

i then have a cat5 feed coming from that into the cisco switch.

I have a main external ip address which i have been told i need to set on the port on the switch which goes to the fibre termination unit.

I then have various external ip addresses which i want to set to partiular ports on the switch.

Does that make sense?

read it again and it doesnt make any sense....why would you want to set external adresses to certain ports ? if you need to talk to the switch from the WAN then 1 is enough and i cant even see a reason for that.

put it in a visio diagram if u want and i look @ it.
