Hi all, I've Got a mk3 fiesta Si with a 2 litre mondeo zetec e engine in, I've just rebuilt her. But the oil consumption is very high every once a week I'm putting at least half a litre in.

I've checked every gasket and seal, has new rings and bearings the block has been honed out aswell. There are no leaks what so ever,

It's baffling me to no were it's going to. Any help, please would be great fully appreciated. Thanks sean

 

How many miles have you done ? to use 1/2 litre, is it new pistons/rings/rebore ? if on a new bore oil can be used, don't be tempted to run in using low revs all the time it won't do the engine any favours, just avoid labouring(high gear low revs) better to use more revs.

Valve stem oil seals?

 

valve stem seal are brand new, new piston rings not new pistons or rebore. shs done about 4,000 miles and does half a litre pf oil in about 150-200 miles ish roughly.

 

Were the bores honed for the new rings ?
