Default 02 reg 1.8 16v duratec engine misfire.

My friend has a 1.8 16v duratec mondeo which has developed a misfire. She said its been to a garage and its had 2 coil packs on it. The engine has over 100.000 miles on it. Im going to see the car today to replace the spark plugs n leads. Im just hoping this will cure it. She has texted me today saying that her engine light has come on. I hope its got something to do with this misfire. Ive been out in the car and it only seems to misfire when the car is under load.

I'd be seeking my money back from the garages, even if that means swapping the new parts that were not needed with her old original coilpack.
Grates on me people paying for "repairs" that don't repair and not asking for money back/garages expecting people to pay for a repair service they haven't provided.
