Hi guys, need little help if its going.

I have 1 Mk3.5 fiesta with a slighty nakered 1.1 HCS engine pretty sure the cylinder bores are scratched along with few other problems. so i want to replace it with a a lower milage preferable younger engine.

My question is, the 1.3 enigne out of KA's and other Fez's look remarkably similar if not identical to the 1.1 is it possible to fit the 1.3 straight into the fez replacing the 1.1 and if i need to change any parts?

I know it seems silly to do this but i cant be bothered with searching for new car and i wana get lil bit more expierience with the engine change.

Any help would be awsome please

Hopefuly it will be. I done some research and aparently the engines are basically identical apart from a variation in intake manifold like multi fuel injection and carb. also seen a post on fiestaturbo where a guy had done a fez 1.1 to a 1.3 just by swaping engines. ill give it a bash and buy a 1.3 then i guess.

 

yeah, the mounts will the same, try and get an engine from a 1.3 Ka and the loom ecu, that way u know for certain it will work, souldnt cost u much and you can use your 1.1 G-box
