Default MY PULSAR GTI-R restoration, more pics

OK so not a ford, but one of the better non-fords ive had, i gave the car a respray, built and engine and got it tested, then drovr it for a couple of months and sold it back to the previous owner!

cheers, the respray was the easy bit. Building the engine was the bastard. I, in my ultimate wisdom decidede the 2 litre sr20 in the almera gti was the same block, so i bought one up and started to make it into a gtir engine, forged rods, pistons, gtir head etc. But nearly everything was different lol. ended up making an oil filter adaptor, making an alternator bracket, pas pump bracket, grinding a lot of webbing off of the back of the block to clear the transfer box, and modifying the sump lol. But it still made 320 bhp @20 psi boost. Never felt that quick though TBH.

engine and gearbox out job to do anything major like clutch or timing chain, other than that they are no worse than an rs turbo lol. Only a 2 litre though, not much torque about them

Yeah, they are quire reliable TBH, only had clutch problems with this one, and that was mostly my fault the problem with gtirs is finding a good one, every one you see is a dog normally

yeh, mine was std and mint when i got it, but as always messed with it a little.

And the only problem i had with mine was the clutch, but as you said self inflicted, too many trips to santapod and 5k launches..

I love the Jap Slappers, had quite a few. Never really been interested in GTi-R's, but then again never seen one in silver, they are always in black.

Looks like you did a nice job of the bodywork bud, was this from a while back? Doesnt look anything like your gaff that i seen!
