Basically my Focus is a bit of a problem child. No engine diagnostic code - but a code on my cluster D073 - "Invalid or missing data for engine coolant" is showing after it keeps saying its overheating on the motorway.

It only overheats at motorway speeds.

Gauge moves up to red every now and then - jumping from 104 C to 120,121,123 C - which seems pretty damn hot to me. Overheats up EVERY hill and when underload in 4th and 5th. Doesn't really overheat in 3rd and never when idling.

I think its lying but wondering if anyone who owns a Focus can say they know a solution?
