Focus Mk1 EML & Lambdas
Hi folks,
(im new here so be kind)
I just had the cat system changed after hearing some rattling noises inside the old cat at low revs. EML was still on when i picked it from StS garage.
So i took it to my local garage who told me that the front lambda sensor needs replacing as the "cables" were loose.
I reset the light via batery trick, but the lights came back on after 15 minutes. So i bought a new lambda and changed it myself to save labour cost.
Reset the light just in case but the EML came back on again after 15 minutes.
whats up doc?!
I might swap the old front lambda for the back one and see what happens.....

You need to have the fault codes read really as there must be another sensor which is outside it's limits illuminating the EML, if it's the Lambda then it may be the wiring to it. Strange it's only happened since the cat was changed.
