pretty sure bloke at works 2.0l westfield is 7k rpm...?

if you can count a st170 as a zetec, about 7700 rpm i think although cant say ive tryed recently

mates cortina with 2.0l zetec on throttle bodies makes peak power at 7000 so will probably rev higher.

st170 is a zetec mate, just got a duratec cam cover lol

dangerous, is that totally std or with ARP rod bolts?

and if you blue fin them i think they go 8200rpm,

8200 deffo need arp bolts lol!!

should be getting SECS S8 when its all back together so prolly just raise it to 7k

so with arp bolts 8200 is safe??? As im still considering what to have my limit set to when i get it mapped at msd. i have arp bolts and was thinking of 7250 maybe 7500. 8200 would be mental though

if you use the focus ST170 engine this is the NORMAL rev limit for the car 7700rpm and blue fin 8200 im sure of it,
I will go and find documented proof from somewhere

dmcl, fook knows mate, the 1.25 is an early duratec, inlet at front and zorst at rear, dont think id like to rev the balls off it tho...

std at the mo mate.

but its one of things that im considering upgrading along with upgrading my injectors to rs2000 ones. but im not sure if i actually need to or not yet.

the 1.25 is essentially an underbored 1.4 zetec, there was a nitroused 1.25 a while back that made 180bhp with only an uprated headgasket and bolts.

fyi, i think having the intake on the front is a better design as you dont get as much hot/warm air one the intake side of the engine.

ok iwas alittle out the bluefin raises the rev limit up to 7600rpm on standard engine from something like 7000rpm,heres the review on bluefin from the FFOC
