Saw a friend post something on his facebook about MW2 being weird so i loaded mine up to have a look, logged in as level 4 ( only had ps3 a week or so and not much time ).

Joined a game and immediately i could tell something was wrong when i was greeted with a custom welcome message congratulating me on my VIP Status and to press the up arrow for menu...

So i did, basically you could summon anything you wanted, kill streaks, harriers ac130-s even EMP's. So i exited the game and went looking for another..

Joined another game to be greeted by yet another custom welcome message and a message that kept flashing up 10%/20% etc till it said 100% and the game began, i could jump miles in the air all enemies were pointed out and automatic headshots seemed to work.

I exited this game also to be met by a whole barrage of accomplishments and congratulations on level 70.... erm i was level 4 about 60 seconds ago... sure enough, everything is complete on my login, all weapons/attatchments everything in the barracks is completed...

Was looking forward to earning everything again and there it is handed to me on a plate by some spotty dude who thinks he is doing the world a favour...

Its hacked mate they are little fucking cunts that are doing it totally ruining the game ! sadly i dont think infinity ward will do anything about it either! i had a few games last night that wernt hacked the secret is if you get in a decent room stay in it. 1 in 3 games are hacked i was genuine level 5 rank 32 & some dickhead unlocked everything for me now i had to start all over on level 6

 

its been hacked has been for some time now the people who make it know about it but cant do nothing cod4 is the same

 

World at War is the best one anyways. Fucking loved that game.

 

MW2 is fucked up now, only fun if you're 10 years old with all that jumping miles in the air etc.....hope infinity ward sort it. Black ops it is for me.

Well we play MW2 on the xbox a LOT and never have any issues.

i did untill i tripped over it and screwed the game up and all it is is a big smart hacker who thinks hell make the game easer

 

it's the software that's getting hacked not the operating system..

Activision could just simply do a update, but as said before Black-ops is priority now so MW2/COD4 will take a back seat unfortunately.. So you'll be stuck with it

 

Ps3 owners bang on about how they get free online gaming and then complain about games getting hacked. This is why xbox live is so much better and well worth the money. Playstation owners should stick to watching bluerays as that's all the console is good for.

The PS3 is a very good gaming system, i had great fun on mine last night playing GT5 in 3D

i find the Xbox is full of "has been" features.

 

Ps3 is a good console its not the computers fault nerds are hacking the servers or what ever they do ! it will make its way to x box as well the cheats im sure

 

all it is is somebody has hacked most of the games and turned them in to challenge lobbys

 

nothing to do with our free online play its the game maker not caring about the game cod4 is full of hackers on pc

its usually some bullied teenager who has no friends so gets into hacking like that. A real "professional" hacker wouldnt be seen dead trying to hack into a pathetic online computer game site. Unless it was world of warcraft and their motivation is to shut it down so all the sad geeky virgins whose life is online slash their wrists....

Exactly the same thing happened to me the other day. But I was on my 3rd or 4th time round anyway and only on level 10 or something so I just prestige'd again and carried on as normal with only the newbie guns you get after Prestige. It's an arse that all the challenges have now been "done" because of the hack, so levelling up will be harder as they'll be less bonus points for challenges met.

I only tried it as a change from Black Ops, but think I'll stick with BO as that's better policed now Activision don't support MW2 now according to the PSN forums.

 

Think I hit a nerve
I've had both consoles and sold the ps3 and bought a blueray player. I find the xbox a far better machine off and online.
I suppose everyone has there own views

ginge it happened to me the other day! fucking pissed me right off! i was on level 70 anyway but its given me all my weapon add ons! so if i want to prestige again it will take ages now as i cant get bonus points!

it was something like 10% 20% 30%..........................100% that happened!

No I bought a blueray player for alot less than a ps3 costs I wasted my money buying a ps3 in the first place.

 

Then again you might be right Warren. I did waste my money on a blueray player as it's never used. Its a rather nice looking ornament tho

Little teenage bastards. Just been on COD4 MW and every map is full of players on speed. Unlimited ammo, grenades, jump to the fucking moon.

Why do XBOX owners think the 360 was made by god and nothing can touch it? I like the 360, but the more and more I hear from the owners about how good it is put me off buying one (I've actually owned 3 and sold all of them ).

The Ps3 and 360 are 2 seperate machines, both do similar, but both are better at different things. The 360 has better gameplay in most games, but that's cause it is a Games Console. The Ps3 is better at everything else cause it's an Entertainment System.

People say XBOX live is better, that's cause it takes £Millions off it's customers each year to use it. If PS3 started charging I'm sure the (I hardly ever have a problem) PSN would be very much improved.

Everything Microsoft does is for financial gain. It took them 4 years to make the 360 wireless without spending £70 extra

play mw2 on xbox most evenings and never seen it hacked at all, so guessing the xbox network is a bit more secure from hackers, or maybe as we users have to pay for it, it is policed better

 

I dont think its made by god i just think as my personal view its a better machine for gaming. As ive said above everyone has there views on which is best. mines the 360
