Default Fuel flap

can i fit a lever operated fuel flap from a 4x4 saff onto a 2wd saff with a finger operated fuel flap?

I would imagine the actual housing surrounding the cap is different, I am not sure if they were mechanical or electrical but either way you would need the part that releases the flap I.E latch/Servo and of course the flap itself, the later models I.E 4x4 Cosworth also had remote boot release as well.
