just been loking, bloody fantastic!
does a whole sensor kit for Ł80 which includes the plugs, thought about changing all the sensors as it's been sat for over year in a garage.
also has the 044 fuel pump kit, plus a new wiring loom for it! genius!!!

Ger some pics up mate. If it's been messed around with and your gonna sort it out, even more reason to show what you achieve.
And remember this : Nothing is wrong with what you do to it, so long as you like it.
(but remember if you ruin it expect the PF lynch mob to come round and have words!) lol

Black wheels ?, are they 17's ?, get some piccies up.
The only genuine bit I wouldn't use is a genuine FORD oil filter, cut a few open ALL had rust inside despite being new, one on a zetec(mondy) rusted through from the inside and started leaking at around 8 months old, luckily was spotted, the rust inside filters were all kept in ziplock freezer bags in a heated garage, the bags were to stop any ingress of dirt, metal etc as was near to a bench grinder.

I use a fully synthetic 10/50 weight oil (Fuchs/Silkolene) standard plugs are fine (071's, and cheap as well!) Also a cam belt change is a good idea, not expensive and gives you piece of mind!
I get my stuff from the said Matt Lewis and MSD, no need to change all sensors, only one I would be thinking about is the CTS as these can go out of scope after a while.
Most importantly you need to check the cooling fans work and also the fuel pump is getting the correct power UNDER load (I.E 12V+ ideally alternator voltage), these are two prone problems with the workaround being a rewire for both items.
Secs monitors are a good product, wouldn't mind one myself actually, best of all you can easily remove and no one would know any different!

CTS? which sensor is this?
as far as im aware the fans work as they have a over riding switch inside so can have them on wheneva i like.
how do you check the fuel pump is delivering the right voltage?
pretty sure it's a secs monitor but the display has packed in, can these be fixed?

CTS= Coolant Temperature Sensor it's the blue sensor at the back of the head on the inlet side, this is an important input to the ECU as it's info is used to determine the base level of fuel injected from freezing to boiling, they do go out of scope after a while so if you were worried about sensors, this is one to do.
Oh that is good then someone may have already done it, make sure it is an override switch though NOT controlled solely by the switch otherwise it's reliant on you turning them on opposed to the automated system.
The fuel pump voltage needs to be checked UNDER load and so you need to give it some stick whilst monitoring the voltage, the easiest way to do this is to run some power from the connections using two bits of wire to a meter inside the car.
Yes SECS monitor replaces the clock in the center console and has two buttons on it, the screen is a common problem, a guy called Simon (ECU Monitor Enthusiast) on here used to repair them but not sure he does now, also Mike at R&B Motorsport used to as well I think.
