Default Is it worth going to santa pod

on the 19th of this Feb?

i keep reading from people that have been so far this year the traction has been bad, as its so slippy.

do you think things are likely to improve by the 19th? so i'm likely to but a decent time in.

i'm skint atm, so don't want to go all the way, just to run crap times.

Come to Avon Park mate, RWYBs start there in March, closer to you, loads more runs, generally better grip as at santapod they only really prep the track on proper days and not RWYBs.

Wel be there most weeks as it jus down the road

where's Avon Park? is it just a drag strip, or a race circuit?

the website http://www.apira.org.uk/ is piss poor

i'm not sure i want to wait that long.

i got the bug. only problem is, i don't want to go unless its good weather/grip and i can hopefully run a 13sec 1/4 its a long way to trek down, spend loads on petrol and it rains and i can not get a good time

"Avon Park" is a proper drag strip, theres a race track of the same name but its totally unrelated.
Actually its not called Avon Park, thats the old name everyone still calls it, its called Shakespear County Raceway.

Check it out mate---
http://www.shakespearecountyraceway.com/

Shell- blackpool to there is a LONG way! (Tho TBH not much worse than santapod )
I got a bed you can stay in tho

Escy- IIRC its about same as pod, 10 to get in plus 10/15 for unlimited runs, and you will get bloody tons. Need a helmet if you running 100+ terminals

Fudge- Halfway between Cheltenham and Stratord Upon Avon, look on a map for a village called Long Marsdon, its there.

Not like it makes any difference but the specator stands are about 5 times the capacity of the pod too.
I really like the place.

for me. thing that sucks about 1/4 mile is when your queing up charge temps go proper high you can notice quite a bit of difference in speed between 10 degrees rise, let alone 20+. means the car isnt running what it could

Would you like to guess why that doesn't surprise me?

Because you're about as much use as a chocolate fire-guard .
