Hi guys,

I am currently building a KA RS Turbo, although progress is slow mainly down to time and money there is steady progress.

So here goes the first few pics of what i have been up to.

The first pic is the ka in standard form back from the crash repair centre after a nasty accident. Then a year and half later it makes an appearance on the ka stand at ford fair 2004.





Then the strip down...













Thats all the photos now folks, more are being processed in the next few days.

Next on the list for the car is prepping of the engine bay and then paint, and stone chip and underseal for the underside.

Yeap using the frst engine, bought it of CHICKEN on here about a year ago now.

Blakey, dont think it was, however i will be needing one when they are available. You've already fabricated me a mount which is nicely siiting on the shelf in the garage! so once im ready ill be after the charger carrier and the intercooler if thats alright?

i thought fords werent meant to rust... but underneath their underbody seal!!! thats just a joke.. more prepping..

Hopefully next pics will be the treating of the rust on the underside and a nice few coats of waxoyl under body seal... maybe even a topcoat in the bay! i want to start the rebuild process!!

Yeah its going to have a full respray on the outside in the same colour.

All bits on the underneath will be powder coated silver to show up against the black underseal.

not too badly to be honest. I have got loads of new pictures just havent had them develpoped yet.. been quite lazy

The car is now sprayed, though needs flatting and t-cuting to bring up, the interior is back on, loads of bits have been powder coated, the car is laso back on four wheels again after 8 months!!

The engine is also built finished that tonite!

So its soming together nicely.. im hoping to get it to ford fair this year. just together and running!!

will post some pics up soon when i get my arse into gear!

what is the progress now then mate?

 

Just got all my pics back from the developers, so this weekend i will get them all scanned in and put them up (yes i know should really get a digi cam!)

As for progress, engine is going in tomorrow morning along with the gearbox, wiring should be done shortly after, then its just a case of getting water hoses to fit and buying all the silicone pipes for the boost system, after of course i receive the intercooler and charge carrier (cheers blakey ).

As for the paint, im not happy with it, so soon the car is going off to my mate who is going to spray the whole car again (apart from bay and inside).

Hopefully I will be on tack for Ford Fair.
