VW Jetta - Red
VW Passat - Blue
White Sapphire - was clocked and didnt last long in the family. This was when I got into Cosworth's as dad brought home a Sapphire brochure from Jackson's of Basingstoke (circa '89). He subsequently didn't buy the car from them but from a small time dealership. Should have stayed with Jackson's!
Red Sierra hatch - stayed in the family for 15 years and did a Ford Fair too.

That was it during my 18 years at home.

Dad - A reg blue mini (scrapped), mk2 cavalier SRi (got nicked), D reg burgundy sierra old shape lent it to someone who wrote it off pissed, mk1 mondeo estate, mk2 mondeo estate.

Mum had a B reg renault 5 (B314 RRW) will never forgot that car, or the date 7th December 1994 (i was 10) when a car come barrel rolling down the road and went over the roof of us, had a mk1 astra, a peugeot 309, escort mk4, rover 416, cavalier 1.6 ( which i owned ) mk4 fiesta, she currently has a mk5 facelift fiesta,

When my parents were together the only car i remember them having together at a young age was this red honda prelude old one.

Mums bf who shes been with since thy split, had a white xr3i mk4, minis, carlton 3000 GSi thing, capri..

Nothing chose my interest in Fords, i just bought one as my first car and it went from there!

I can't remember all the cars my folks have had, im old

Going back to about 1982 they had a Mk2 Escort Estate with a duff gearbox, no reverse lol.

Then came a White XR4i, brand new from Invicta Motors of Canterbury.

PXd the 4i for a brand new 3dr Cosworth in Moonstone Blue, agin from Invicta Motors (D212 KKR)

I don't want to remember what they have had since the cossie

I can remember when I was only 4 or 5 an old Ford Consul Capri the old man had (not the sort of Capri you are probably thinking of) it was a lime green colour, reg: 776 EOE. After that he had an Austin Cambridge (Farina shape) reg: 594 KWP. Next he had a Vauxhall Victor estate, a 3.3 straight six, reg: RTV 383G. Then came a Ford Cortina mk2 1600 super which I had the "L" plates on, reg: VUY 508G.

My mum was the car lover out of my parents.

They had a lotus cortina (that got stolen) and one of my mums favourites (I remember her really wanting one in the early 80's) was her Granada 2.8i ghia x.

She had loads of cars though as my grandad was a car dealer and she seemed to be changing all the time.

Also rememeber a really nice BMW 635csi in red.

The weird thing is when I was a kid I always used to think they were old sheds but thinking about the reg numbers and year she had them they would have been almost new.

My god my parents car list is so dire, especially compared to those.since I was born (1976) we had (this won't take long):
Mk 1 4 dr 1300xl escort
Cortina 2.0 gl AUTO
Saab 99 2.0l
Saab 99 2.0l (but with 9k on the clock in 1993 when it was 10 years old!!!)

And that's it for the family as my old man died in 1997.

The old girl had:

Volvo 240 AUTO(hideous)
Fiesta mk3 n reg(brand new thanks to my voucher scheme)
Merc 190e (nuclear war proof)
Astra 2.0l cdx
Toyota corolla(been written off, paid out on and she will NOT sell it).

Crap really.

Lotus cortina mk1
cortina savage
V6 supercharged 105e in candy apple red with metalflake
3.0 mk1 granny
Half a dozen 2.8 Granada ghia's (new every 2 years)
Raven black Scorpio that they bought new and hated so traded it in for a Toyota supra within 3 months.
Couple of cossies and then they divorced and now my old man drives a vw transporter and the old dear drives a new BMW touring , kinda says it all really .

Mk2 cortina in eggshell blue
Honda 250 super dream, all polished up too
Mk1 Transit camper NFH 610L with corbeau buckets up front!
Couple of Bedford HA vans (ex BT in yellow!)
Nissan Bluebird estate 2.0 and went like stink! (at least it did back then!)
Morris Minor Traveller in English White and restored wood
Morris Marina 2dr coupe
Renault 21 Turbo
Renault 21 Diesel (turbo I think)
Vauxhall carlton 2000
Dad then got in to his Vauxhalls and unfortunately he's stuck with them. That said, he did have a couple of very nicely modded Mk2 Astra GTEs.
But the favourite, and they do say save the best til last, was....
Mk2 Escort. But not just any Mk2, oh no. An ex Ari Vatanen Rothmans rally car that he raced in 79. I fully understand rally cars get re-shelled and plates changed etc, but this had paperwork to prove the provenance. The car had been painted diamond white over the Rothmans livery, but still had a 2.2 BDA under the bonnet that returned around 3mpg on full chat! Crazy car, really was. Still fully caged, and had all the gear still fitted - twin fuel pumps, switchgear, co-pilot dash, arches, 2 up 2 down cibies etc etc
