10psi in the tyres and a load of weight in the back of mine and it has been fine, the trip down the m40/42/m5 yesterday was interesting though.

Must say was out in my mrs' impreza earlier (which is superb) and saw a few bm's struggling, saw a 1 series trying to leave their house and going nowhere.

Mind you my rwd transit is useless and it's loaded up, I've got some bridgestones on that are pretty much smooth with 4 grooves round the the tyre and nothing across, absolutely zero forward propulsion yesterday. Although I did make it back 15 miles only to get stuck at the last hill but got towed up by someone. Not looking forward to going out tomorrow am as there's a hill either end of my estate to negotiate, last time I had to stop to let a bus come down and lost momentum.

Mine and the mrs imprezas are great though, mrs doesn't bat an eyelid to going out however bad it is.

My mate has an old c class merc and has just bought an impreza because he's sick of wintering in it. I was at his house yesterday when the snow fell and he lives miles down a single track lane, was fun getting home in my transit.
