Default Induction kits for 1.8 zetec

I have recently bought a Y reg 1.8 lx zetec. I have spoken to K & N filters and they have said that they have had quite a few that have a starting / running problems. so they not sending any more out at the moment. I was wondering if anybody has this problem with theres?

I have noticed that pipercross do an induction kit for this model, do you think I would have the same problem with one of there induction kits ???

hmm.. I have the K&N 57i induction kit for my focus 2.0 .. and I've got a little cold start / idle problems, though they apparently were due to a broken carbon filter unit (pic: http://rit.cc/ses/undir-hoodi-dosin.jpg if someone can tell me what that black little can is called in english, I'd be very grateful)...

Anyways, just call around to some shops, somebody's bound to have something for the focus 1.8

I've got the ITG carbon airbox and it works a treat. Alot of people rave about the new GenII K&N filter, and the BMC filter.

Yes the 57i Induction kit has Stalling problems with the 1.8 but works fine on the 2.0 , youll need to get a pipercross or the more expencive BMC/K&N GenII kit
